The Harris County Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Facility will again be in partnership with the Drug Enforcement Administration Office of Diversion Control by collecting unused or expired medications on the National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day October 28th from 10 AM – 2 PM. We're located at 6900 Hahl Road, Houston, TX 77040 (NW corner of N. Gessner & 290).
The facility will be open to the public for HHW collections from 9 AM – 2 PM but will only accept pharmaceutical items from 10 AM – 2 PM.
The DEA will accept medications only – they will not collect items with needles. For additional information, you can call the HHW facility at 281.560.6200 or go to www.deadiversion.usdoj.gov.
Please note there is a lot of construction work being done on 290. Exits and roads around the facility may be closed some weekends. Please check the weekend road closures before you drive to the facility to find routes that will help you avoid any exit or road closures.
