EPA Bans All Retail Distribution of Methylene Chloride to Consumers for Paint and Coating Removal
The Harris County Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility would has received information from the EPA that we would like to share with you. Methylene chloride is a chemical that has recently been known to harm many persons who have used this chemical or products that contain it. Check all of your household paint and coating removers for methylene chloride and consider using a less harmful chemical substitute. You may bring all of your household paint and coating removers containing methylene chloride to your local Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility for proper disposal.
